Taco Mix is known for their signature al pastor but order it too late in the day and you run the risk of missing out on the pineapple topping. They also make a great pollo suadero (stew chicken) which is swimming in sauce before it makes it to your tortilla. A welcome departure from the more dry chicken tinga option. Fair warning, Taco Mix does double tortillas with their orders. Whichever taco you choose be sure to stop by the condiment bar which usually houses a variety of sauces and peppers. They have New York locations in East Harlem, Delancey and Industry City.
